Saint Clements Castle & Marina, a European-style estate/castle event venue located in Portland, Connecticut, launched a new WordPress website designed and built by Web Solutions.
The venue, nestled on over 90 acres of uniquely manicured lawns and gardens, needed a new, mobile-friendly website to better showcase its event spaces and unique character, charm, and architecture.
“We wanted a mobile friendly site with a fresh design that would be extremely user-friendly for our clients and couples,” said Amanda Delzio, Saint Clements Director of Marketing & Communications. “The easier the navigation the better, as we wanted the users to have the information they needed at their fingertips.”
Having the site be mobile friendly was also an important feature. “We find that roughly 60% of our users are viewing the website on a mobile device and the mobile version of the site is exceptional,” said Delzio. “We also love the visual style of the ribbons throughout the website, and animation elements including the 'sticky' navigation bar.”
Saint Clements is in the process of completing its third event space, the River's Edge Marina, and wanted the new website to provide information on all event spaces in an equal style. “We wanted the design style to reflect a platform that was inspirational and visual for users whether they were planning a wedding or a corporate outing. The design included branding elements that show the venue's unique character and charm.”
