Connecticut Economic Resource Center (CERC) is a nonprofit corporation and public-private partnership that provides economic development services to Connecticut business owners, developers, local leaders, public agencies and partners.
CERC already offered a wealth of online information, but it was spread among three different websites, all of which were difficult to navigate.
CERC wanted a new, easy-to-navigate site to serve as a central economic hub where people could easily find business assistance, real estate resources, data and marketing research for business, and economic development services.
Web Solutions consolidated the three sites into a single online economic resource, using the Web Solutions Content Management System v4.
"A modern website was long overdue for our organization, and our new branding helped initiate the process to update our online presence," said Kristi Sullivan, vice president of marketing. "The result was a sleek, responsive platform—both front facing and back end—to showcase CERCs comprehensive services with clear messaging to our key audiences."
The new site features a fresh, modern design, a user-focused navigation and two custom modules: the Assistance and Information module, which helps business owners get answers to commonly asked questions and identify what licenses and resources they need; and the Real Estate module, which includes a slideshow of featured properties available for lease or development.
